"The marriage union is the closest relationship that can exist between two human beings. When a man and woman decide to join together in marriage, they should do so with full realization of their responsibilities. Marriage is serious business.
When two born-again believers know it is God's will for them to marry, they come together before God, a minister and witnesses to join their hearts and lives. They make a public profession of their mutual love and devotion, pronouncing vows and pledging their lives to each other.
As they pronounce the marriage vows in faith, the power of God goes into operation and a miracle takes place. They are united by God and become as one in His sight. Their union is threefold: They are joined together spiritually by God, legally by the contract they enter into and physically, when the marriage is consummated. A husband and wife are joined together as Jesus is joined to the Church. It is a miraculous union. This booklet contains the wedding ceremony that I use as a minister of God. It is based totally and completely on the Word of God. As you use this ceremony, I add my faith to yours in believing God for lives of love and harmony for the couples you minister to, in Jesus' name." - Kenneth CopelandPublishers Description

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Recommended by my Pastor Jan 28, 2005
This book was recommended to me by the Pastor officiating my wedding. He claimed the same thing that the this site user, "allysond", reviewed as well on this book. He told me that the "traditional" or "modern" vows used today with "better/poorer", "sickness/health", etc. were not as greatly worded as the Bible would intend. Kenneth Copeland gives a ceremony that reaches more into Christian beliefs and keeps God in the ceremony more so than the modern vows seem to do. I am happy to say that we will be using this book as our guide when saying our vows in our upcoming wedding!
SCRIPTURELY ACCURATE May 4, 2000
The traditional ceremony (in sickness/health, richer/poorer, better/worse etc.) is 50% BAD NEWS! This is NOT God's best. If you want to start your marriage on the Word of God and not the world's idea then this is for you. It is a beautiful ceremony and very moving. It brings two people together in a covenant of marriage. This is the most powerful union between two born-again believers, and everyone listening will know it.
In search of something less religious. Mar 30, 1999
The ceremony is non-denominational with very heavy emphasis on God and Jesus. Preferred would be a ceremony that can emphasise love and mutual respect without so much reliance on religious references.
